Samenvatting van Alone together
These photographs taken in the past 8 years belong to a project that aims to observe people in the contemporary city environments. The project includes photographs from major cities such as New York, Boston, Paris, London, The Hague, Berlin, Frankfurt, Barcelona.In this project I am watching the interaction of crowds and groups as well as individuals in places of transit. The work revolves around the way in which I perceive urban space. The emphasis is on the city as social community, on behavior, poses, and urban rituals, how we experience the street and behave.
The purpose of this project is to examine contemporary architectural space and capture the mood and psychological effect it brings to bare on the inhabitants.
